|Title:||The TOEFL Exam as a Supplementary Source for Spreading American Studies|
|Abstract:||The article examines TOEFL exam not only as a linguistic tool for teaching and testing students’ knowledge of the English language, but also as a tool performing the basic function of the Program of “American Studies” – spreading knowledge about America and the American nation. The article also contains some research results on the same topic. Besides, some other questions related to the research topic are raised here, i.e. we should not only teach TOEFL, but also provide students with profound knowledge of America and American people through the TOEFL instruction process.|
