dc.description.abstractThis course learning about the history of the women’s movement in the U.S. as well as about contemporary women’s issues. Issues that we will discuss include feminism, gender roles and socialization, sexuality, masculinity, marriage and the family, birth and mothering, women and work, race and feminism, violence against women, reproductive health and rights, women and the law, and global feminism. The course will also incorporate video material that illustrate and illuminate some of these issues.en_US
