Abstract

This is a survey course on the history of the United States from the Reconstruction to the present. It traces and analyzes key political, economic, social, and cultural developments of American people since the Reconstruction with particular attention to industrialization, westward expansion, progressivism, World Wars, Cold War, the tumultuous sixties, and conservatism.
