Abstract: This paper presents the discourses about sexual education in Kyrgyzstan that were explored as the result of the discourse analysis of the media and interview recordings with the representatives of the governmental, non-governmental and political institutions of Kyrgyzstan. Based on the “scandal” over the sexual education pamphlets that occurred in 2013 in Bishkek, I investigated how the key actors of the conflicts - the Reproductive Health Alliance of Kyrgyzstan, the political party “Erkin El” and the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health - construct, transform and control the discourses around sexual education of young people.
