dc.description.abstract	The debate of whether Afghanistan should remain a unitary state or become federal has been asked of me many times since the ouster of the Taliban in 2002 from power. I never had any evidence to back up my claims. With this thesis, I hope to finally be able to settle this debate in my own mind so that in the future, when the discussion arises, I can then give logical points to support my stance on which one it should be. We all have preconceived notions of what direction our country should go and what will be better for its future but hopefully with the conclusion of this thesis, I can be more concrete on my stance.	en_US
