Abstract: The article describes the fortification system of the medieval town of Atbashi. The author gives a concise description of investigating fortification of medieval towns of Kyrgyzstan and determines a place of studying the Atbashi fortification system in the historiography of the republic’s archeology. The article provides the history of studying the Atbashi fortification system as well as its detailed description.
