Abstract: | This course was designed to give students a general overview of what folklore is and what styles/genres it has all over the world. The ultimate outcome of the course is to acquaint students with the Central Asian folkloric genres based on oral tradition. Within the framework of the course we will work on themes, symbols, and motifs of oral narratives, exploring various interpretations. |
