The theoretical part of the course is mainly based on concepts and models of democracies identified in Arend Lijphart`s works. The course includes all elements of contemporary West European political systems such as division of powers, political parties, electoral systems, etc. The case studies of particular European nations are entitled to fully understand political institutions in Europe.en_US
