Status of Psychological Counseling in Kyrgyzstan

Abstract

The paper describes psychological counseling status in Kyrgyzstan. The main goal of the paper is to focus not only on the past and the present of this developing mental health service but to analyze the most probable perspectives of its future development. The authors want to underline that psychology and counseling reflect to some extent universal social development processes as well as some unique peculiarities of each separate country, Kyrgyzstan in particular.
