Abstract: Soviet Union Repressions of 20-30th - everyone knows what those represent, but few of us really thought about these expressions as of genocide. The aim of this research is to show that in USSR officials’ actions and acts there is a genocidal context and intent. First, this paper looks at genocide through the historical perspective, after what it reflects the events took place in Soviet Union during 1920-1930s. It further proceeds with defining genocide and proving the elements of it in regards to Soviet Union. Such critical and challenging aspects as genocidal actions against classes and intent to destroy such classes are discussed in deep details. This paper brings to the inference that class membership should also be included into the scope of Genocide Convention. Moreover, it coherently explains the existence of intent in minds of genocide actors in USSR. Lastly, it provides conclusions and relevant suggestions. In the end, there is an explanation, who is going to be responsible in case of establishing tribunals against Soviet Union.
